Statement on supporting the development of the EPD China
Program and no longer serving as a EPD verifier by Bill Kung
为推动EPD工作在中国的合法合规的健康发展，在工信部华盛基金会、上海市经信委等机构的关心和指导下，我们联合多家单位共同发起和建立了上海绿翼产品环境声明（EPD）促进中心非盈利社会组织，自中心发起和建立之日起，EPD工作就得到了各部委的指导和关怀，为EPD类型的社会工作在中国的合法开展提供建议，帮助我们更好地支持企业突破国际绿色贸易壁垒、建立中国产品EPD规则机制和主动权、保护企业核心数据安全、避免出海泄漏、提升绿色经济和发展的水平。
To promote the
legal and healthy development of EPD work in China, with the support from
Huasheng Green Industry Foundation of the Ministry of Industry and Information
Technology, the Shanghai Economic and Information Technology Commission and
other institutions, we jointly initiated and established the Product
Environmental Declaration Promotion Center, a non-profit social organization.
Since the launch and establishment of the center, EPD work has received
guidance and care from various ministries and commissions, providing
suggestions for the legal development of EPD work in China, and helping us
better support enterprises to improve the level of green economy and
development.
作为中心的发起单位兼理事会成员，为了保证EPD促进中心工作的独立性，按照EPD促进中心有关EPD审核工作独立性的要求，在履行理事会志愿工作期间，不担任包括EPD促进中心EPD中国项目在内的全球其他国家EPD组织的审核员职务，也不再接受新的审核员邀请，本人将在履行EPD促进中心理事职责期间不担任EPD中国项目审核员的职务，本人及同事所有参与的EPD咨询项目将接受EPD促进中心委派的独立审核员或者核查机构的审核，以确保环翼所开展咨询服务工作的公正性满足EPD促进中心项目的合规要求。大家如果有任何审核，欢迎和EPD促进中心的独立审核员或者审核机构联系。
As the founding
member and board of directors of the center, to ensure the independence of the
work of the EPD Promotion Center, in accordance with the requirements of the
EPD Promotion Center for the independence of the EPD verification work, during
the period of performing voluntary work on the board of directors, I, Bill
Kung, will not lead any new verification task as a verifier in any EPD POs,
including the EPD China program of the EPD Promotion Center. Ecovane’s EPD
consulting project will be audited by an independent verifier or verification body
appointed by the EPD Promotion Center to ensure that the fairness of the
consulting services provided by Ecovane meets the Independence requirement of
the EPD Promotion Center project.
